I am a Montana Licensed Clinical Social Worker with advanced training in attachment -based therapy approach Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) by Dr. Sue Johnson, Gottman Method communication skills and Internal Family Systems (IFS) an intra-psychic approach to exploring and working with one’s internal world of thoughts, perceptions, and emotions. Before going into private practice in 2002, I had twelve years of direct psychiatric and substance abuse provider service from 1989-2001 in Seattle, WA.  I provided inpatient and outpatient therapy services to family and individuals dealing with psychiatric disorders and substance abuse issues. After 45 years living in Seattle, my wife and I relocated to Kalispell, MT.  I enjoy woodworking, gardening, skiing, fishing and feeding our two tabbies.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than twenty years’ experience providing therapy and other mental health services to children and adolescents in the Flathead Valley. I worked as a school-based therapist at Flathead and Columbia Falls High School for ten years, and case management supervisor for children and teens with Western Montana Mental Health. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, where I worked as a medical social worker with cancer and hospice patients. I am experienced in a number of treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral, relational, trauma-informed and mindfulness practices. My therapeutic orientation is attachment-based with advanced training in parent-child attunement. Early on, I learned that the best results come from meeting people where they are – helping clients to identify their challenges, and to develop their own goals and vision of change. I love gardening, skiing, my husband, and our two Tabby cats.
